Cheadle Lake Project Dedication in Lebanon

Cheadle lake is a former logging pond and has become the site for a park and much more for the community in Lebanon.

On July 8th a monument dedication was held out at the lake honoring those who worked hard to clean up the lake and work to make it a recreation area for everyone to enjoy.

I offered to help out because I was really behind this project and the other projects that the Build Lebanon Trails organization are working on to make Lebanon even better than it already is! So I helped out where I could, of course in the technology area. It is a bit hard to 4-wheel drive my chair down to help on the shore, but I sure can help with my geeky goodness!

So I thought nothing of it, I was just happy to donate some time and help out. I could not make it to the dedication a couple weeks ago. After the event, a customer and long time friend brought by the program showing my name being listed, and mentioning that my name was on the plaque. I thought that was cool.

But recently, I was sent photos of the monument, and Paul's Computer Repair is right there in stone, and the monument was huge. I was truly humbled. I never did it for the recognition, and never expected anything like that. I love my community and want to improve it, that is why I sat on the Planning Commission and Parks and Trees Committee and ran for city council.

If you live in the area and have not checked it out, you need to go see the new area, it is really nice, and they are planning on making the trail around the area more accessible, and even put in an ADA fishing dock.

I always say it, but I love our town.
